Assessing health information systems is an important task that must be carried out to ensure compliance. In your role as a health information consultant, you have been asked to create an assessment method for a health information system HIS (EHR, EMR, CDS, etc.). You will create an assessment proposal.
For this assignment, you need to devise an assessment proposal for a HIS. Select the health information system of your choice (EHR, EMR, CDS, etc.) and develop an assessment method for the selected HIS. Your assessment proposal should include:
- Briefly discuss the importance of a HIS assessment.
- Provide a user analysis.
- Determine the factors that influence the success and failure of the HIS.
- Discuss the methods/approaches you will use to conduct the assessment.
- Provide a list of 20 review questions that you would use to assess the HIS.
- Briefly defend each question.
- Create a timeline that Illustrates implementation of the assessment.
You will create your assessment proposal in Microsoft® Word®. You will also present your proposal via video.
Requirements
- Your proposal should be only 3 pages.
- You should include at least three peer-reviewed sources.
- Your proposal should be in APA format.
- You will present your presentation using Screencast-O-Matic, YouTube™, Screencastify™, TechSmith Capture™, or a similar application.
- Your presentation should be no longer than 5 minutes.

- Create a short screencast.
- Save the screencast on Screencast-O-Matic's site or to YouTube, or download it to your computer.
